Portfolio Objectives
Professional Development and Programming Portfolio
The purpose of the Professional Development and Programming Portfolio is to identify and deliver training and learning offerings for the facility management community across National Capital Region. The learning outcomes of the Portfolio will be to provide a mechanism for facility management professionals to remain current on issues, methodologies and best practices applicable to facilities operations. The Webinar/Online Learning and PD and Training Committees report to the First Vice President.
Membership and Outreach Portfolio
The Membership and Outreach Portfolio strives to promote and recognize the professionalism and important contribution of the facility management community across the National Capital Region. This portfolio also offers a forum for information exchange and enhanced communication across the facility management community. The Membership, Communication and Networking Committees report to the Second Vice President.
Finance Portfolio
The purpose of the Finance Portfolio is to maintain a running budget of each of the IFMA Ottawa initiatives and provide updates to the Board. This portfolio also explores partnerships and other potential revenue streams, outside of membership and programming. The Sponsorship Committee reports to the Treasurer.
Governance and Nomination Portfolio
The purpose of the Governance and Nomination Portfolio is to ensure IFMA Ottawa has and continues to have an appropriate governance model in place, to propose new members to the Board, to co-ordinate evaluations of the Board and its Committees and to ensure compliance of the Directors and the Association Management Company with policies, procedures and contract terms and conditions. The Mentorship Committee reports to the Past President.
