CMG Office Interiors has a full time position available for an Interior Designer in their Design Department, located at our Head Office in Ottawa. The candidate must be highly motivated, have strong organizational and time management skills, along with excellent communication skills.   Important Job Functions include:

• Collaborate with our Sales Team and external clients and consultants on projects of various size and scale.
• Attend client meetings and gather client requirements.
• Space plan for new and reconfigured office furniture layouts.
• Specify and provide quotations and drawing packages to client.
• Prepare install drawings
• Attend installations and follow up on deficiencies.
• Prepare projects proposals and coordinate projects with external participants (architects, engineers, contractors, clients).

As an ideal candidate you will:

• Have two years experience in the office furniture industry as an Interior Designer.
• Post secondary education in design or related field.
• Be proficient in AutoCAD, 20/20 CAP and Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Have a strong knowledge of systems furniture.
• Have experience in space planning and office design for large projects.
• Have access to an automobile for frequent site visits.
• Be bilingual.
• Thrive in an energetic team environment.
